Step 1

Familiarizing yourself with the adapter.
• Phone 1: The Phone 1 port allows you to connect your telephone to the Phone Adapter using an RJ-11 telephone cable
• Phone 2: If you have two phone lines on each adapter, use the Phone 2 port to connect a second telephone to the Phone Adapter using an RJ-11 telephone cable.

• Internet: The Internet Port allows you to connect the Phone Adapter to your router or gateway using a Category 5 (or better) Ethernet network cable.

• Power: The Power port is whree you connect the power adapter.

Step 2

Connect the Phone 1 port.
• Insert the RJ-11 telephone cable from your existing phone into the Phone 1 port.

(repeat process for Phone 2)

Step 3

Connect the Internet port.
• Connect one end of the Ethernet cable we provide into the Internet port on the phone adapter.
• Connect the other end of this Ethernet cable into an open port on your Internet source (router/switch/modem).

Step 4

Connect the Power Port.
• Connect the power adapter to the Power port.

VERY IMPORTANT
• Check that the POWER light on the Phone Adaptor is lit.
• Wait at least five minutes while your phone adaptor starts up.
• There may be updates that need to be downloaded, such as new firmware or changes to your features. These will be downloaded automatically.
• DO NOT interrupt this process by unplugging the power or lifting the receiver on your phone during the startup process.
• Interruption of the startup may result in interruption of service.
• There may be updates that need to be downloaded, such as new firmware or changes to your features. These will be downloaded automatically.  When firmware updates are taking place, all the lights on the unit will be flashing.

Then check your phone for dialtone.
